Feeling frustrated by SPAMs in BIGPOND - call us

How can you stop all that Bigpond SPAM?

SPAM is the unwanted emails that come to your mailbox from unknown users or by some other agency and the second it is very difficult to stop. If there are 5 or 7 spam emails in your mailbox then it is normally ok but if there is a flooded ship of spam in your mailbox account than it is a serious matter and it should take better care off.

If you find that the SPAM is too much to deal with, you can control it by having some setting up ON.

A user has to do some setting so that Spam emails can be sent automatically to your Junk mailbox before they ever get to your computer or on other devices.

If someone is sending the same mail, again and again, you can 'block' that sender so that he cannot send more spam emails.

It is better to make settings or block the spam user in the Webmail version of any mail account.

For your Bigpond webmail, some settings can be made by logging in to your account's ‘Webmail’ at email.telstra.com.

Follow some instructions that Bigpond Support provides in stopping the spam emails:

The first one is using keywords and the second one is by blocking the domain of the sending email.

Logged into Bigpond webmail account with Authorized mail id and password.

- After logging in find out the domain of the sender which is continuously sending the spam emails, that you wish to block. You can easily find out the domain of the user after the @ in the email address, eg: username@domain.com

- After knowing the user domain name click on Settings in the top right-hand corner.

- After that Select Blocked Senders option from the left-hand menu.

- Add *@domain.com of the sender and click Add button. It is important to include the *.

For sending the spam emails automatically send in junk folder:

- Select Organize Inbox from the left-hand menu.

- Click on Add and select the options that you want such as the below example:

Rule name: juggnu
Active: ticketed
Action: Move to folder - Junk
If Subject: contains – juggnu

After filling the details, Click on Save.

You can Add as many as users as you need.

You can Add new user as per your requirement that you want to remove them from your inbox, this prevents further emails containing those words or those domains from landing in your inbox.

After doing these settings, you can handle your spam emails very easily. But if you are not satisfied by the results you can contact our Bigpond technical support services contact by just dialing the toll-free number and here they will assure you by giving the best results related to your query.
